We read technologies to find their next buyers, shape them into products that sell repeatedly, and run the grown businesses together as a stakeholder. Our fields are the industries that physically move the world: shipbuilding, machinery, metals, robotics, and AI.

Years of moving between industrial sites revealed a simple fact: a technology taken for granted in one industry can be a major innovation in another.

Itajima & Co. was founded to carry technologies across industry boundaries and create new markets.

伊但馬

“Itajima” (伊但馬) is an old name that echoes Itajima (板島).

In Itajima, in the Uwa district of old Iyo Province — present-day Uwajima City in Ehime Prefecture — a tradition holds that the place was once written 伊但島, taking its name from the residence of a figure called Itajima (伊但馬).

We have borrowed that long-inherited name as the trade name of a modern company.

Our logo is a modern reinterpretation of the family crest Oshiki ni Sanmoji — three characters on a square tray.

To inherit a name is not to return to the past.
It is the will to build a business that withstands time and endures into the next era.
